like a dog that can smell fear.
Attacking without notice,
it strives to do its worst.

You're its victim,
pleading for someone's help.
And yet, it shows no mercy,
like a tornado in a storm.

It's a murderer,
with its hands crushing your life.
Your a helpless, wounded animal,
growing weaker every day.

Once it finds you,
it'll do its best to make sure you're gone.
Your sorrow is its prey,
feeding it and making it stronger.

Some people are lucky to get off,
others have no choice.
But with support from a hero,
anyone can make it through.

If your lucky to get off,
life still won't be normal.
Scars will remain unhealed,
some mental, others physical.

But these scars give you strength,
to carry on and not be afraid to keep on living.
